Top 5 smartphone and mobile world manufacturers for Q3 2012
Entering the fourth quarter (Q4) 2012, IDC (International Data Corporation) released the results of research on the manufacturing smartphones and mobile phones during the third quarter (Q3) for the period July to September yesterday. They examine how much delivery of products and how the products are a manufacturer of the market. There are two tables that IDC released this regard, see the table below the results of IDC's research.
1. Table Q3 2012 Top 5 smartphone manufacturers world
The first table above shows only sales and market share of smartphones from the manufacturer. Smartphone in this case is a mobile device that has an operating system on the device, the operating system could be Android, Windows Phone, iOS and BlackBerry.
In the first table, a surprise covered by many media technology is ZTE overtaking HTC in fourth. During this time, the famous HTC solidly in fourth place under Samsung, Apple and RIM. However, HTC has now had to give up the fourth place to ZTE. With their flagship product, ZTE Grand X and ZTE Grand Era U985 seem higher sales than HTC One X and HTC One X +.
The data in the first table above noted ZTE smartphone sales reached 7.5 million units and gain market share by 4.2% worldwide. Meanwhile, the first place is still occupied by Samsung that it has become the king of the smartphone and mobile phones manufacturing for several quarter.
2. Table Q3 2012 Top 5 mobile world manufacturers
While the second table shows the sales of mobile phones (including smartphones) of its worldwide manufacturing. Interesting data shown are Nokia not included Top 5 smartphone manufacturer was still occupying the second position in this category. Although smartphones Nokia is not so sold in the market but who do not know with quantity of Nokia for their outstanding featured phone.
In the third quarter alone, Nokia sold 82.9 million units of their mobile devicesand won 18.7% of the mobile market in the world. Nokia is making the transition, from a mobile phone to a smartphone using Windows Phone as their OS to replace Symbian.
Meanwhile, Apple does not have a phone other than the iPhone smartphone static at 26.9 million figure equal to the number of the first table. However, Apple still entered the Top 5 mobile phone manufacturers in the world and is ranked third showing that iPhone is quite well accepted by the world.
